Hyderabad, Feb. 10 -- The Backward Classes (BC) Commission has taken suo-moto cognizance of a report published in Velugu newspaper on January 29, 2025, regarding the social boycott of 15 families in Nekkonda village, Warangal district.
The commission wrote to the Warangal District Collector, directing an enquiry into the incident and submission of a report.
According to the newspaper report, Darapu Venkatesh (from the Yadav community) and 14 other families were socially ostracised by elders from the same caste. Following the directive from the BC Commission, the Warangal District Collector submitted an investigation report on Monday.
