BC associations on dharna at Jantar Mantar, demanding 42 pc reservation
Hyderabad/New Delhi, April 2 -- Backward Class (BC) groups, under the auspices of the Backward Class Welfare Association National Committee, began their dharna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, on Wednesday, demanding that the Centre implement 42 per cent reservation by including it in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution.
It is known that the Telangana Assembly has passed the BC Bill, providing 42% reservation for BCs in education, employment, and politics.
The BC groups have invited all parties, including the Congress, to join the dharna.
Telangana Ministers Konda Surekha, Ponnam Prabhakar, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, Government Whip Adi Srinivas, Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao, and others participated in the protest.
