Itanagar, Nov. 4 -- The final Battlefield Trek of the 63rd Walong Day commemoration was conducted from Ashi Hill to Tri Junction Post, marking the culmination of a series of commemorative treks organised to honour the valiant soldiers of the Battle of Walong (1962).

A total of 20 civilians, along with Indian Army personnel, participated in the trek, retracing the historic routes where unparalleled bravery, sacrifice, and resilience were displayed during one of the most heroic battles of the 1962 India-China War.

Ashi Hill holds a place of immense significance in India's military history, being one of the crucial battle locations where Indian troops fought gallantly against numerically superior enemy forces.
