Hyderabad, Sept. 28 -- The Bathukamma festival was celebrated with traditional fervour in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, under the auspices of the Harrisburg Telugu Association (HTA).
Bhuvanagiri (Telangana) Member of Parliament Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy attended the celebrations as a special guest.
Addressing the gathering, he said that even after crossing the seven seas, the Telugu community continues to remain united and proudly showcases its culture and traditions to the world.
Chamala stressed the need to create a "bridge" system to address the problems and challenges faced by the Telugu community in the United States in their native towns back in India.
