Chandigarh, Jan. 15 -- A Bathinda court on Wednesday granted permanent relief to actor and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut in a defamation case filed by Mata Mahinder Kaur, allowing her to appear before the court through video conferencing instead of physical presence.
The court passed the order after hearing arguments from both sides and directed that Ranaut would join proceedings virtually on every date of hearing. Following submissions by the counsels, cross-examination in the matter was conducted via video conferencing earlier in the day. The court pronounced its decision in the afternoon.
