Hyderabad, May 28 -- BASF India has launched two of its latest global crop protection solutions - Valexio Insecticide and Mibelya Fungicide - aimed at enhancing rice productivity, India's most important food crop.
These innovations are designed to manage rice hoppers and control sheath blight disease, aligning with India's food security objectives.
Speaking at the launch event in Hyderabad, Michael Heinz, Member of the Board of Executive Directors, BASF SE, emphasised that innovation lies at the heart of BASF's 160-year legacy. He noted that the company invests approximately 1 billion euros annually in R&D for agricultural solutions, with India being a strategic focus among 15 countries.
