Karimnagar, May 13 -- In a significant development for higher education in Telangana, the Bar Council of India has granted approval for the establishment of a Law College under the jurisdiction of Satavahana University in Karimnagar.

Admissions for the LLB course will commence from the 2024-25 academic year, with an intake of 120 students across two sections.

This long-pending demand was fulfilled following the persistent efforts of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar. He had earlier taken up the matter with the Union Law Ministry and the Bar Council of India, strongly advocating for the establishment of a law college in the region.
