Moscow, Dec. 12 -- The Bank of Russia has filed a claim with the Moscow Arbitration Court against the Euroclear depository, accusing the Brussels-based regulator of causing it monetary losses by blocking its access to funds and securities, and has sought repatriation of all losses incurred.
"In connection with the illegal actions of the Euroclear depository causing losses to the Bank of Russia, as well as the mechanisms officially considered by the European Commission for the direct or indirect use of the assets of the Bank of Russia without its consent, the Bank of Russia is filing a claim," the regulator said in a statement on Friday, as per European media.
