Chandigarh, March 20 -- The Gurugram Police have apprehended a Bangladeshi national in Gujarat for allegedly sending hoax bomb threats via email to several schools in Gurugram and other states.

The accused, identified as 30-year-old Saurabh Biswas, alias Michael, had reportedly been residing in India for the last nine years using forged identification documents. The arrest follows a detailed investigation into a series of threatening emails sent on January 28, which triggered widespread panic across educational institutions.

According to ACP (Cyber Crime) Priyanshu Diwan, the accused was tracked down to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where he was working as a freelance digital marketer.
