Dhaka, Jan. 5 -- The family of Bangladeshi businessman Khokon Chandra Das, who died of injuries sustained in a hack and burn attack in Damudya upazila of Shariatpur on Saturday, is beset with despair with the sole earning member gone. They are also apprehensive that the assailants or their associates could return to attack them.

Khokon had opened the drug store in Keurbhanga market 20 years ago and also started a mobile banking business inside that shop. With the income from the shop, the family, comprising Khokon, his wife, three children and old father, was comfortably off. They were living in Tilei village in Damudya upazila of Shariatpur.
