Kolkata, Aug. 24 -- The BSF has detained a Bangladeshi national, identified as Afrujjaman, a former police officer of that country, for trespassing into Indian territory from West Bengal's border in North24 Parganas, official sources said today.
The Border Security Force on Saturday evening detained the former ASP of the 2nd Battalion of Armed Forces at Muktagacha in Bangladesh's Maymansingh district while crossing from Hakimpur border at Swarupnagar in North 24 Parganas.
Ther BSF handed over the infiltrator to the West Bengal Police, which would produce it to the Basirhat Mahakuma court later today.
