Dhaka, Dec. 9 -- The Bangladesh Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday said it has completed all the required preparations for conducting the twin-polls for its upcoming 13th national elections and public referendum on Feb, 2026.
Speaking at the EC headquarters in Dhaka's Agargaon district, Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Masud told The Daily Star, "As far as I know, nothing is left to be done. The arrangements for the election will come in due course, and that will be completed."Stressing that any case of pre-poll political violence is neither under its domain nor its responsibility, the EC chief added: "If political parties engage in clashes before the schedule is announced, the EC is not responsible for that."He further remarked that ...
