Dhaka, Nov. 10 -- Downplaying the Awami League's plan to hold a 'Dhaka lockdown' on November 13, Bangladesh Home Affairs Advisor Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has dismissed all speculation of unrest surrounding the banned party's call for demonstrations in the capital, saying there was "no cause for concern".

"There is no apprehension over the Awami League programme," Chowdhury told reporters after a meeting of the government's core committee on law and order at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Dhaka.
