Dhaka, Nov. 20 -- Bangladesh's interim government is considering approaching the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague for bringing back the country's ousted former PM Sheikh Hasina, and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal from India, said Law Advisor Asif Nazrul on Thursday.
The two Awami League leaders were on November 17 sentenced to capital punishment, after the country's special tribunal, the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) declared them guilty, in absentia, for their alleged role in the so-called crimes against humanity, during the July Uprising in 2024.
