Kolkata, Dec. 12 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday condoled the demise of former Congress leader and ex-Speaker of Lok Sabha Shivraj Patil.
Former union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, following a brief period of illness, passed away at his home town Latur in Maharashtra this morning. He was 90. "Saddened by the demise of veteran public leader, former Speaker of Lok Sabha and former union Home Minister Shivraj Patil," Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee said in her condolence message.
