Hyderabad, Oct. 23 -- union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday demanded an immediate apology from the state DGP and swift action in the case of Prashant Singh (also known as Sonu Singh), who was shot while allegedly trying to stop cows being taken for slaughter.

Bandi Sanjay, accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP K Laxman, BJP deputy leader Payala Shankar, state leaders Gangidi Manohar Reddy and J Sangappa, visited Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad to inquire about Prashant Singh's condition. Party leaders said the BJP would bear the injured man's medical expenses and pledged full support.
