Karimnagar, Jan. 8 -- union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday alleged that the Congress and BRS parties had jointly deceived the people of Telangana on water-sharing issues and indulged in political theatrics to divert attention from corruption and unfulfilled promises.
Speaking to the media at Shubham Gardens in Rekurthi here, Sanjay said both the Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi were staging dramas in the name of water to avoid discussion on the Congress government's six guarantees and to escape probes into alleged corruption during the BRS regime.
He accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of making "blatant lies" in the Assembly on irrigation projects, including the Palamuru-Rangareddy scheme.
