Balrampur, Dec. 1 -- After nearly 12 years, the administration on Monday demolished an illegally constructed mazaar located inside the Sadullahnagar police station premises.
In 2013, alleged land mafioso and former Samajwadi Party MLA Arif Anwar Hashmi reportedly had his brother, Maroof Anwar Hashmi, appointed as the manager of the structure, and subsequently managed to register 0.18 acres of police land in the name of Mazaar Sharif Shaheede Millat Abdul Quddus Shah Rahmatullah Alaih through a fraudulent deed.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Vishal Pandey, land parcel number 696- measuring 2.16 acres has been recorded as police station property in revenue records dating back to the pre-consolidation period. In an alleged ...
