Bengaluru, Jan. 4 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Saturday blamed BJP MLA G Janardhan Reddy for disturbing peace in Ballari, saying the district witnessed no violence until his entry and asserting that the law would take its course against all those responsible.

Addressing a joint press conference at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's home office, Shivakumar said the recent clashes in Ballari were avoidable and accused the BJP leader of escalating tensions by stepping into the district despite the situation being sensitive.
