Ballari, Jan. 9 -- Karnataka MLA Gali Janardhana Reddy on Friday expressed dissatisfaction over the police handling of the recent clash related to a banner dispute in Ballari.
Reddy alleged that the police, instead of registering an FIR, merely issued a notice, delaying justice due to political pressure.
The legislator had lodged a complaint at Brucepete Police Station against Ballari ASP Ravikumar, DSP Chandrakant Nanda Reddy, and Congress MLA Nara Bharat Reddy, accusing them of being directly responsible for the January 1 incident near his residence. He claimed the clash involved stone-throwing, petrol bombs, and gunfire, and that there was a conspiracy to harm him.
