Chandigarh, Aug. 19 -- Indian pair of N Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan fought a spirited battle before being pipped by Andre Begemann of Germany and Florin Mergea of Romania in the doubles final of the €46,600 ATP Challenger in Meerbusch in Germany on Sunday.

Both the first sets were decided in tie-breaker and the match tie-breaker was involved to settle the deadlock. Begermann/Mergea clinched the issue in their favour by 7-6 (1), 6-7 (4), 10-3 in oe hour and 47 minutes, despite commiting five double faults and releasing a solitary ace.
