Vanshika JaiswalNew Delhi, Dec. 17 -- Amid growing global scrutiny over doping in professional cycling, organisers of the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026 have pledged to make rigorous anti-doping protocols a cornerstone of India's inaugural UCI 2.2 multi-stage road cycling event.

Addressing concerns over the prevalence of banned performance-enhancing substances in endurance sports, Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi said that compliance with the anti-doping guidelines of the union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the Cycling Federation of India (CFI) has been built into the race structure from the outset.
