Pune, Sept. 29 -- The Pune Sessions Court today rejected the bail applications filed by the accused in the high-profile Vaishnavi Hagawane suicide case.
The court observed that granting bail could lead to possible pressure being exerted on witnesses.
Vaishnavi Hagawane died by suicide on May 16, allegedly due to harassment from her in-laws. Police arrested her husband Sushil Hagawane, father-in-law Rajendra Hagawane, mother-in-law Lata Hagawane, sister-in-law Karishma, and family friend Nilesh Chavan.
The case gained widespread attention due to Rajendra Hagawane's political background.
