Hyderabad, Feb. 11 -- The Brewers Association of India (BAI) has welcomed the Telangana government's decision to allow an increase in beer prices, aligning with the recommendations of the Price Fixation Committee formed last July.
The association also urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to address the long-pending outstanding dues of the beer industry.
"We have noted the Telangana government's circular approving a supplier price increase for beer. While the hike is lower than the rise in production costs and below industry expectations, we appreciate the government's recognition of the industry's concerns regarding business viability," said Vinod Giri, Director General, BAI, in a statement on Tuesday.
