Badrinath Dham, May 4 -- The doors of the revered Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district were thrown open for devotees at 6 am on Sunday amidst a grand ceremony.

The ceremony took place amidst Vedic chants and melodious tunes of the army band. Around 10,000 devotees including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami witnessed the ceremony.

Flowers were showered from helicopters over the pilgrims during the ceremony.
