Ranchi, Oct. 28 -- Jharkhand BJP president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has strongly condemned the alleged police brutality against peaceful protestors in Chaibasa, accusing the Hemant Soren-led government of shielding illegal mining syndicates operating in the region.
Marandi said that the barbaric police action on tribal men and women staging a peaceful sit-in demanding enforcement of the 'No Entry' rule at Tambo Chowk has exposed the cruel face of the state government.
He termed the incident as state-sponsored terror aimed at protecting corruption rather than a mere failure of law and order.
