Kolkata, March 22 -- Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and sitting MP from Asansol Babul Supriyo has replied to the showcause notice issued on him by the Election
Commission for releasing the BJP's campaign music-video against Mamata Banerjee's TMC without obtaining permission from it, an EC official today said.
Additional Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Basu said: "We have received a reply from him and it is under consideration."
Earlier on Tuesday, the Election Commission issued a show-cause notice to Mr Supriyo for his campaign music-video against Mamata Banerjee's TMC.
