Chandigarh, April 9 -- In a significant counter-terrorism operation aimed at maintaining state security, the Punjab Police, in collaboration with central agencies, dismantled an ISI-sponsored Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror module.
The joint operation, involving the Amritsar Rural police, Gurdaspur police, and the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) of the Counter-Intelligence wing, led to the arrest of two operatives in Gurdaspur.
Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab, Gaurav Yadav, confirmed on Thursday that the operation was part of a larger mandate issued by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure a crime-free environment in the state.
