Pune, March 18 -- The Sunetra Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party has announced the names for the top posts in the Pune Zilla Parishad. Viradhaval alias Baba Jagdale, elected from Khadki group in Daund taluka, has been nominated for the post of President, while Vivek Walse Patil from the Pargaon-Tarfe Awasari Budruk group in Ambegaon taluka has been named for Vice President.
With the party holding a clear majority, their election is considered almost certain.
The newly elected members had authorized party president and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar to take the final decision.
