Mathura, Sept. 20 -- A 19-year-old B.Tech student from a private university in Mathura died by suicide after allegedly being blackmailed and harassed by a classmate.
The above facts came to the fore after the police arrested the accused on Thursday night.
The student, identified as Muskan, was found severely burned in her private girls' hostel room located in the Jaint police station area on Wednesday.
According to police investigations, Muskan took the extreme step after being mentally tortured and blackmailed by her classmate, Shivam Kumar, a resident of Tharora village and also a B.Tech student at the same university. The two were previously friends but had reportedly fallen out, leading to ongoing disputes.
