Paris, May 27 -- Victoria Azarenka raced into the second round of the French Open with a 48-minute 'double bagel' victory over Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer here on Tuesday.

At 35 years old, the Belarusian is the oldest player in the Open era to win a Grand Slam main-draw match 6-0 6-0.

She also becomes the first woman to score a Grand Slam double bagel - winning a match without dropping a game - in three different decades.

Wickmayer, who is currently ranked outside the world's top 1,000 and has said she will retire after Wimbledon this summer, held just one game point during the match.

Two-time major winner Azarenka hit 15 winners and won 49 of the 66 points on offer, while Wickmayer was undone by 26 unforced errors, the BBC reported.
