Prayagraj, Sept. 18 -- In a major relief to jailed Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Azam Khan, the Allahabad High Court today granted him bail in the Rampur Quality Bar encroachment case.
Presently, Azam Khan is lodged in Sitapur jail.
A single bench of Justice Sameer Jain delivered the verdict during the day. The case was filed against Khan in connection with the encroachment of Rampur's famed Quality Bar.
On August 21, the High Court had reserved its decision after all parties concluded their arguments. Senior advocates Imran Ullah and Mohammad Khalid argued the bail application.
Earlier, Azam Khan's bail plea was rejected by the Rampur MP-MLA Court on May 17, 2025.
