Ayodhya, Oct. 12 -- Mahant Ram Milan Das Ramayan, the head priest of the historic Rawat Temple in Ayodhya, died under suspicious circumstances.
The incident occurred shortly after he had dinner around 7 PM yesterday evening.
According to his disciples, he began frothing at the mouth shortly after the meal. His attendants and disciples rushed him to Shri Ram Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival, officials confirmed today.
The sudden and mysterious nature of his death prompted immediate police attention. Kotwali In-charge Manoj Sharma arrived at the scene, conducted an inspection, and gathered information from those present.
