Solan, July 18 -- AITUC state president Jagdish Bhardwaj today alleged that even after axinging lakhs of trees for four-lane construction in Himachal Pradesh, deforestation of hilly areas is not stopping.
He said that Himachal is called the Switzerland of India, but the negligence being done in the construction of four-lane here is causing great trouble to the people.
Bhardwaj said that due to the construction of four-lane, the problem of land subsidence has come up at many places, which has posed a threat to the houses and properties of the people.
On the other hand, the water from the roads is towards the houses of the people, due to which they are facing great trouble.
