Kaithal, Oct. 6 -- The Anti-Vehicle Theft (AVT) team has recovered more than 2,000 kg of firecrackers in a raid at 2 different locations and arrested two accused in both cases.

The total cost of the recovered firecrackers is estimated at around Rs eight lakh.

The team of ASI Jasmer Singh, led by AVT staff in charge SI Pradeep Kumar, was patrolling Janakpuri Colony in the evening when the police received information that Rajendra Singh, a resident of Assandh, had stored illegal crackers at his godown behind Oxford School.

Acting on this information, AVT staff and Fire Brigade team in charge Naresh Kumar conducted a joint raid at the spot.
