Varanasi, Feb. 27 -- Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peetha, reacting to the Allahabad High Court's decision to reserve the verdict and stay his arrest, said that a media trial was being conducted against him.
He alleged that the verdict was being pronounced outside the court, but today the truth has prevailed.
Shankaracharya said, "The court has stayed the arrest. The judge found merit in our arguments that the case was fabricated, and therefore, this order was passed. The judge understood our point. The widespread publicity that was being made so far that Batuk had stayed in the ashram could not be proven.
