Shillong, Aug. 13 -- The 10-day autumn session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will commence from September 8 to 12.



Speaker Thomas Sangma said the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Meghalaya Assembly has unanimously approved the calendar for the session.



"There will be five working days - three for Government Business and two for Private Members' Business," Sangma said after chairing the BAC meeting.



The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Parliamentary Affairs Prestone Tynsong, Leader of Opposition Dr Mukul Sangma and two veteran legislators Charles Pyngrope of Trinamool Congress and Lahkmen Rymbui of United Democratic Party.
