Hardoi, Sept. 3 -- A 26-year-old auto driver was brutally murdered with a sharp-edged weapon near Shivaji Dham on the Kanpur-Hardoi-Kannauj highway in Hardoi district today, police said.
The incident occurred around 8 PM, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The victim was a resident of Radha Nagar locality under Kotwali City Police Station.
Upon hearing of the incident, family members and local residents gathered at the scene and blocked the highway, demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits. The protest led to a traffic jam stretching nearly 2 kilometres, bringing vehicular movement to a halt. Tensions rose as the family accused one of Anshul's friends of being involved in the murder.
