Patna, Sept. 1 -- The concluding day of the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Patna turned into a show of political strength as well as administrative control today, as thousands of INDIA bloc workers gathered for the rally while police restricted their march.

Senior Police Superintendent Kartikey Sharma said the administration had not granted permission for the march to proceed beyond Dakbungalow Chowk. He said the march led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be stopped at the Dakbungalow Chowk and will not be allowed to move towards Ambedkar Chowk.

"The area beyond Dakbungalow Chowk, including Ambedkar park falls under a prohibited zone. So, the march has not been permitted to go further," the SSP said.
