Aizawl, Sept. 4 -- The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has raised significant concerns regarding the state government's lack of progress in implementing the 74th Constitutional Amendment Act (CAA) in Mizoram.
In its latest audit report, the CAG recommended that the state government carry out activity mapping and functional assignment of municipal subjects to strengthen urban local bodies (ULBs).
Originally intended to empower ULBs by assigning 18 functions as per the Twelfth Schedule of the Constitution, the 74th CAA has faced obstacles in Mizoram.
