Kolkata, Oct. 7 -- Darjeeling's rain-ravaged hills are fast emerging as West Bengal's new political battleground, with union Minister Kiren Rijiju warning a day after the attack on BJP MP Khagen Murmu and MLA Shankar Ghosh that any delay by the state government in submitting a ground report to the Lok Sabha Speaker could invite a privilege motion. The attack on the two leaders took place in in Nagrakata.
Rijiju who is on a visit to North Bengal said in Jalpaiguri today, "We spoke on the attack on the MP and MLA in North Bengal. The Lok Sabha Speaker sent a notice and sought a report from the State Government yesterday. If there is a delay in the report, we will take action under the Privilege Motion.
