Supaul, Oct. 15 -- Atleast 80 children were taken ill after eating food in midday meal at Katara Middle School in the Chatapur police station area here today.
Official sources said here that the midday meal was served to the children at the school today. During the meal, a girl named Smita Kumari complained that she found a dead lizard in her food. Following this, the school principal discarded the served food. However, by that time, some children had already eaten and their condition began to deteriorate.
Upon learning about the incident, the children's parents reached the school and took them to Chatapur Community Health Centre (CHC) .
