Prayagraj, Oct. 1 -- Ali Ahmed, son of slain gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed, has been transferred from Naini Central Jail in Prayagraj to Jhansi District Jail under tight security.
The transfer took place today at 6:10 am, with the police escorting him over a distance of approximately 420 kilometres. The operation involved a heavily guarded prison van escorted by four Organised Response Teams (ORT) and a section of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), totalling about 20 personnel.
Jail Superintendent Vijay Vikram Singh confirmed the transfer was executed following a directive from higher authorities.
