Patna, March 29 -- Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale demanded an amendment in the provisions of the Bodh Gaya Temple Act, 1949, so that only Buddhists can become part of the management of Mahabodhi Vihar.
Athawale, the Chief of the Republican Party of India, who is here on a three-day tour of Bihar, called on the Chief Minister on Saturday and handed him over a memorandum in this connection, demanding to stop the injustice to the Buddhist community across the country.
