Colombo, Oct. 11 -- Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu was stretchered off the field early in their run chase against England, causing concern for the Sri Lanka camp during the ICC Women's World Cup clash here today.
Chamari, who had been fielding throughout England's innings and bowled five overs for 21 runs, collapsed after a routine jogged single in the sixth over, following a drive to deep midwicket off Linsey Smith. She initially lay on the ground and received treatment from the team physio before the stretcher and additional medical staff were called in.
