Nagpur, Oct. 5 -- Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs) across India are facing severe staff shortages and long working hours, leading to fatigue and rising stress levels, even as several airports await long-pending communication and radar system upgrades, sources said. According to officials from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the shortage of trained controllers has significantly increased workload pressure, especially at major airports such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. Smaller airports like Nagpur and Raipur are also feeling the strain as air traffic continues to grow.
