Hamirpur, Jan. 7 -- Assistant Engineer Gyan Chand Bhatia of Lambloo Electricity Sub-division said on Wednesday that the work of installing smart meters has started in the sub-division. He appealed to all consumers in the sub-division to cooperate with the employees who are coming to install the smart meters.
The Assistant Engineer said that after the installation of smart meters, no employee of the electricity board will visit consumers' homes every month to distribute electricity bills. All consumers will have to check their electricity bills on the electricity board's official website or mobile app, and payment can be made online, at the nearest Lok Mitra Kendra (Citizen Service Center), or at the Lambloo Electricity Sub-division office....
