Hyderabad, Jan. 27 -- The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday caught Ch Krishna, Assistant Engineer (AE) of Kallakal Circle in Manoharabad Mandal, Medak district, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
According to an ACB release, the accused officer demanded a bribe from the complainant to release a power supply by installing a 63KVA three-phase DTR under the LT Category III. The AE initially demanded Rs 30,000, out of which he had already accepted Rs 10,000 before being caught.
The ACB officials apprehended the accused at around 1300 hours, recovering the Rs 20,000 bribe amount at his instance.
