Guwahati, July 30 -- The BJP led government in Assam is going to roll out the 'Nijut Moina' 2.0 scheme from August 6 this year, a welfare scheme aimed at empowering girl students by providing financial incentives, reducing school dropout rates, and promoting higher education among young girls, especially from underprivileged backgrounds.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today reviewed the preparation for rolling out the scheme during a video conference with his Cabinet colleagues, MLAs, DCs, Principals and officials from The education department.
