Guwahati, Dec. 14 -- A civil society organisation in Kamrup district has approached the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) seeking justice for the victims of the Jogdol murder case in Sonapur, Assam.

The gruesome incident occurred on the night of December 12, 2009, when six members of a poor tribal Tiwa family were brutally beheaded.

Dibyajyoti Medhi, Chief Adviser of the Dimoria Bikash Mancha, stated that even after more than sixteen years, justice has not been delivered in this horrific case, which took place under Sonapur Police Station in the Dimoria Tribal Belt of Kamrup (Metro) district.
